Simplistic creatures are humans, Lingering on the senses of Such things as
Popcorn, Sex And shampoo.


Exhaustion.the amber glow of the lamplight takes me away to worlds beyond that which were yesterday. from this perspective of twilight everything is monochrome, black and white, a simple world. faces waver in the stark leaves against an aching sky, sighing with the coolness of the oncoming night. leaving after the cloak of darkness has befallen the shoulders of the horizon opens my eyes to a new dimension of life as yet unseen by those who crawl by burning stars of day. and yet here I lay, each beautifully defined eyelash coated with heaviest of leads, merely contemplating the possibilities of what nearly had been, and what could be had again.Exhaustion.


RooftopI steady myself, take a deep breath. Behind me, the ice machine clicks on with a whir. Launching myself forward, I run up the slippery surface of the slide that is part of a rickety metal swing set, an icon of my past childhood. One of these days, I think, this thing is going to collapse on me. But for now, I'm safe. I climb onto the handles of the slide, and then onto the roof, the black, asphalt-like tiles biting into my knees as I duck to avoid an oak branch and its unpleasantly prickly leaves. At last, I'm safe, from my perpetually playful pooch, my mother (who's got a list of chores IN her head and eyes in the BACk of it), and from the eRooftop
